Dr Antony Evans has 15 years of research experience in the application of operations research methods to analyzing air transportation systems. He has two Masters degrees from MIT – in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and in Technology and Policy – and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, simulating airline operational responses to environmental constraints. After his PhD Tony did postdoctoral research at MIT, Cambridge and NASA Ames Research Center. He then spent 2½ years on faculty at City University London and University College London (UCL) studying energy and air transportation. He is now an associate research scientist with UC Santa Cruz, at the University Affiliated Research Center at NASA Ames, researching machine learning and data mining applications in air traffic management.
